LIP BLUSH VS. LIP NEUTRALIZATION

Most of our clients who have gotten their brows done also have gotten their lips done with us, giving you that “I woke up like this” moment every day. We offer both lip blush and lip neutralization services so, let’s dive into the differences between the two.
LIP BLUSH is a type of semi-permanent cosmetic enhancement that helps define your existing lip shape and natural lip color giving definition and illusion of fullness. The photo below shows you a before and after of lip blush, when it was pale, and after we tattooed the target lip blush color.
LIP NEUTRALIZATION is to neutralize lips that are melanin-rich, with discoloration, darkness, hyperpigmentation. The photo below shows you the before and after of the lip neutralization and before we put the target color.

NUMBING CREAM AND PAIN LEVEL
We use a topical anesthetic to provide comfort. As for pain tolerance, everyone is different, it really depends if you have a low pain tolerance but don’t worry, we ensure that you are comfortable and for as long as PRE CARE instructions are followed, then you won’t have anything to worry about! :) (BONUS: We provide a selection of fidget toys you can choose from on the day of your appointment, we noticed our clients loved this during their procedure)
THE PIGMENTS PIGMENTS WE USE
We use a premium cosmetic tattoo pigment line, PERMABLEND, and MARA COLORS. It is the leading permanent makeup and cosmetic pigment manufacturer. We use only the highest quality certified vegan ingredients and these pigments have provided us quality healed results.
TINA DAVIES, BROW DADDY, EVEN FLO LIPS BY LULU, and all of the regular Permablend lines are one of the many pigments we have used on clients over the years.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Lip Blush or Lip Neutralization lasts 1-3 years. a touch-up might or might not be needed within 1 year for lip blush but 1-2 touch ups might be needed for lip neutralization. This all depends on your lifestyle, skin type, sun exposure, etc. Important to note that lip blush and lip neutralization will tend to be a 1-3 step process due to saliva and moisture around the lips which can fade it out a lot.

Anyone :) If you are someone who wants their mornings easier without putting lipstick/makeup on. If you want more of a tinted and fuller lip look or have discoloration on your lips you want to be neutralized, then this procedure is perfect for you.
THE PROCEDURE
Before photos/videos
Consultation - This is when the client can tell the artists the look they desire to achieve and the artist will provide their professional advice as well.
Lip Mapping - The longest and most tedious part. This is to make sure the shape of your lips is even.
Outlining - Tattooing the outline we drew using the lip mapping method, this is to make sure we do not tattoo outside of the line/lips/
Shading - Tattooing the entire lips
After photos/videos
After Care explanation.
Numbing Cream and breaks in between are provided should it be needed.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- YOU MUST BE 22+ YEARS OLD.
- YOU MUST NOT BE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING.
- YOU MUST NOT BE UNDERGOING A CHEMO THERAPY.
- YOU MUST NOT HAVE KELOID DISORDER OR PRONE TO SCARRING.
- YOU MUST NOT HAVE DIABETES OR INSULIN DEPENDANT.
- YOU MUST NOT HAVE ANY SKIN ALLERGIES OR SEVERE SKIN
CONDITIONS SUCH AS ECZEMA, ROSACEA, PSORIASIS, ETC.
- YOU MUST NOT HAVE ANY ACTIVE COLD SORE ON OR AROUND THE LIPS, AS GETTING ANY PROCEDURE WHILE THE COLD SORE IS ACTIVE, THIS PROCEDURE CAN IRRITATE OR SPREAD IT EVEN MORE.
- YOU MUST NOT BE ON ACCUTANE. THE CLIENT MUST BE OFF ACCUTANE FOR AT LEAST 1 YEAR BEFORE UNDERGOING ANY COSMETIC TATTOO PROCEDURE
- YOU MUST NOT BE TAKING ANY BLOOD THINNERS, ON FISH OIL, ETC.
(IF YOU ARE, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING IT A MONTH BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT.)
- YOU MUST NOT BE ON RETINOL/RETINOID SKINCARE PRODUCTS.
(IF YOU ARE PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING IT 4 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT.)
- YOU MUST NOT BE ALLERGIC TO LIDOCAINE, PRILOCAINE, BENZOCAINE, TETRACAINE, EPINEPHRINE, AND/OR ANY TOPICAL ANESTHETIC INGREDIENTS
- IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET BOTOX/FILLERS DONE BEFORE OR AFTER GETTING YOUR LIPS DONE, IT MUST BE 4 WEEKS BEFORE OR 4 WEEKS AFTER YOU GET YOUR BROWS TATTOOED.
- PLEASE SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT 3 WEEKS BEFORE OR AFTER GETTING YOUR VACCINE. YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM IS COMPROMISED DURING THIS TIME. THIS IS TO PREVENT ANY REACTION AND FOR YOU TO HAVE A COMFORTABLE HEALING PROCESS
